Lance LaCour is Director of the County of Galveston Economic Development Department.  He was previously Director of Economic Development for the City of Granbury, Texas and prior to that CEO of the Katy Area Economic Development Council, Inc. (EDC) for 16 years, and Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance on the Alabama Gulf Coast for 10 years.  During his tenure, several of these organizations received recognition and awards from TEDC, SEDC, Site Selection Magazine.  Since 1991, he has assisted in the creation of over 30,000 jobs and $3 billion in capital investment.   LaCour is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) and earned an M.S. in Economic Development and B.A. in Political Science from the University of Southern Mississippi.
