The City of League City has entered into a pre-development agreement with a private developer to build Epicenter League City on the site of the city’s sportsplex.  In addition, the developer

Epicenter League City, a proposed public-private partnership, will be the place for family fun whether you’re looking for a quiet dinner, live music, a celebration with friends and family, an exciting professional sports event or even a wild ride on a mechanical bull.

Conveniently located on I-45, Epicenter League City’s proposed plans include live entertainment, hotels, shops, restaurants, recreational activities, professional sports events and Class A office space. The large-scale, multi-use development will be designed to make League City a dynamic cultural center and national attraction.

Enhanced by landscaping and shade trees, Epicenter League City will be planned as a sustainable and energy-efficient complex of amenities using today’s environmental best practices.

In addition, as part of the agreement, the developer will fully fund design and construction of a new city sportsplex on 106 acres of city-owned property west of I-45. The new sportsplex will replace and be much larger than the Chester L. Davis Sportsplex, which is at full capacity.
