The Shriners Hospital for Children will close its Houston location in the world-renowned Texas Medical Center and consolidate it into its Galveston hospital in 2021.

The Shriners Hospital for Children Galveston is a non-profit pediatric burn hospital, research, and teaching center located on the campus of the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Part of a 22-hospital system, it is one of the three Shriner’s Hospitals that specialize exclusively in burn care and consists of an intensive care unit and a reconstruction and plastic surgery unit.

Shriners Hospitals for Children Houston specializes in delivering the highest quality care to children with a variety of orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal disorders and diseases, as well as cleft lip and palate abnormalities.
