The Mall of the Mainland, a regional mall closed in 2014, is being redeveloped as a power center and is undergoing energy saving improvements including HVAC, electrical and LED, and building envelope and plumbing and water saving measures. The $3.8 million PACE assessment is financed by Greenworks Lending. The Mall of the Mainland is the 4th PACE project in the Galveston County PACE program, with the following benefits for the County:

  • Jobs Created: 110
  • CO2 Reduced: 1,357 tonnes per year
  • Water Saved: 4.9 million gallons per year
  • Energy Saved: 2.9 million KWh per year
