CenterPoint Energy's Transportation Services offers qualifying end-use commercial and industrial customers a choice in their natural gas supply. Electricity 

CenterPoint Energy, Entergy, Texas New Mexico Power provide electric services to industrial, commercial and residential customers in Galveston County.   Deregulation is in effect in Galveston County and the Houston area.  Typical distribution capacity available is 20 kV (20,000 volts to 35 kV (35,000 volts), although some industrial sites have access to transmission with 138 kV (138,000 volts) and higher. With some basic information, GCED can provide industrial and commercial rates from retail providers. Pipelines  

 Galveston County has one of the best pipeline distribution networks in the country. Hundreds of miles of pipelines carry more than 30 raw and finished materials through Galveston County to inter- and intrastate markets.
